In the early hours of Tuesday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Atarot from Sattahip Police Station was called to the scene of a road accident in front of the Sea Paradise Hotel involving two vehicles, a car and a pick-up. The pick-up, a Bronze Isuzu D-Max had flipped over and its driver, Sergeant Major Baritz aged 37 was taken to Hospital but was not seriously injured. The car, a black Chevrolet Saloon was driven by Khun Jiraporn aged 21 who remained at the scene and although significant damage was caused to the front of her car, no one inside the car was injured. She explained that she was returning home to Sattahip after a night out in Pattaya. As she drove along the Sukumvit Road at a high rate of speed, she failed to notice the slower moving pick-up in front of her and a rear-end collision took place which caused the pick-up to flip-over. She was detained for further questioning and was found not to have consumed any alcohol following a breath test at the station. She was later charged with dangerous driving.

In my experience I doubt that the accident was wholly her fault. She was driving quickly and maybe distracted, possibly only briefly and for whatever reason, but the chances are that the pick up just pulled out in front of her, in the usual local fashion, and proceeded to take half an hour to get up to a reasonable cruising speed!

Yes, her fault because she wan't concentrating and ran into the back of it, but these halfwits that meander out in front of you are a menace and shouldn't be allowed on the roads. :) Rant over!

May be he did pull out in front of her, but that's your assumption.

But as she said she was driving at speed, she rightly or wrongly has been charged with "Dangerous Driving" presume on her admission that she was driving fast, let's hope all were insured and then the insurance companies can sort it out.

I know it's only an assumption and may be totally off the mark in this instance but the idiots still do it every day, pull out slowly directly in front of you I mean, even if you are the only car approaching down the road. Either they don't look, don't care, or just have to go first as they are more important than you. Whatever, they are highly dangerous and do cause accidents, although as you rightly say, not necessarily this one.
