Road Trip!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm moving house next month, and have hired a car to travel up from Samui to Bangkok, me and a mate have 3 days to make the trip, and want to stop off on the way at a couple of places to see the sights, and sample the local nightlife! :)

I realise places like Chumpon and Hua hin may not have the same nightlife as some places, but any recommendations on where to stop?, we were thinking of heading over to Phuket for a night, but don't think it's really worth it 'cos we have both been before.

Also, whats the drive like?, I believe it's basically just 1 highway all the way?, anything to look out for?, i.e. I've driven around island's etc, but never on main highways, so dangers?.

We have a Satnav, so getting lost shouldn't be a problem. Any suggestions / advice appreciated.

Cheers.
