Civilized Thais - even the police tool up for the 10pm fights at local festivals and dance nights.

Learning - having spoken to local teachers the 'learning' is not happening in the schools.

Very wise, get the money from the tourists at the road side malls selling dried rice things and something with peanuts and sugar on it.

We wait with baited breath should should a future TAT strike force announce that this year the focus of the entire tourism industry will be on improving customer service and ensuring the toilets are clean.

A few weeks ago a pui yai in our village invited me to a meeting being held at his house for the local TAT office big boss. Our local man has a few business ventures and considered my presence as a falang would add weight to his presentation, and to be fair to the guy his does have an original idea for a product that would sell at these malls and airport outlets as well.

After he had done his stuff and we had had a few drinks, I was asked what would make me spend more money as a tourist (they were talking about products rather than hotel and resorts), I had considered this question before they arrived, so they were a little take aback when I said without pause provide clean (cleaned after each coach party) and western style toilets at every location that TAT wants to use as a tourist venue.

They really were expecting me to say rice crackers or durain sweets.

What and where is the "Sanctuary of Truth"?

Are they talking about the temple in Chonburi? Or is there something in Ubon by this name?
