PREM-R
I am based in Khon Kaen and I have a double entry Tourist visa of which the first entry is about to come to an end after a 30 day extension. I now intend to drive up to Nong Khai, leave my car on the Thai side and cross the Bridge into Laos and return thus 'activating' the second entry of the visa. My questions are; do I need a Lao visa ?(I can get one in Khon Kaen) do I need any paperwork other than the visa stamp in my passport? can I return to Thailand immediately or must I spend time in Laos? When I extended my first entry visa I travelled to Bangkok but I have since been told that there are imigration offices around Thailand where this can be done, does any one know where the office for NE Thailand is? Any help with these questions would be appreciated
fester
Have a look at this thread; Visa run to Vientiane You will easily get a Laos visa at the Friendshop bridge. Nakorn Ratchasima used to have an Immigartion office before, anyone knows if it is still there?
