Ais Gprs Internet Connect Failure

Featured Replies

I live in east Pattaya

I use a Solomon GPRS/EDGE modem with an AIS sim card for internet use.

AIS Mobilife connects but no website can be downloaded on most tries.

If it does download (rarely) after 5-10 minutes it fails.

Anyone else have this problem?

I would welcome any suggestions to fix this problem.

click Menu,Setup,General Setup,Internet and check if you are connected via AIS Mobillife or LAN,it seems to work on both but I always set to AIS.

A friend also experienced many disconnects so he changed to Hutch with now no problems.

Mine connects initially but sometimes takes 10 minutes before I can access any sites, have to keep clicking Try Again in Firefox.

I still get the occasional disconnect but not much, maybe only once per session.

I would change to cable internet but its not available where I live.

I use AIS GPRS via a Nokia cell phone with Bluetooth. While in Pattaya in September, I was unable to get onto several sites (nothing important; only banking and email!), but when there a few months later, the problem was cleared up.

Maybe if you just wait a while, things will start working for you.

Hello.

You can try to change the NETWORK settings in TOOLS on the modem to GSM only.
