Yes, Customs duty and VAT will be applied on not only on the product but also the cost of the shipping. Also, you must be sure what you are buying will operate on 220 volt, 50 cycle.

The US BOSE products are 110 VAC, 60 cycle. You can't even special order a 220 volt in the States. Been there; done that!

Can't you just use a step-down transformer for voltage conversion? And the 60 Hz part vs 50 Hz part isn't going to matter unless there's something in the unit that uses a synchronous motor (unlikely).

I've used a step down for 5 years here with mine with no problems at all.
