90 Day Stamp Question

Featured Replies

Came back after xmas, therefore my 90 days should start again.

On my departure card page of my passport I have a stamp saying 05 Aug 2010. This is clearly not 90 days from my last day of entry (02 Jan 2010).

On my last 90 day reporting card the date is listed as 16 of Feb.

A bit confusing for me, but should I not have a date somewhere which is 90 days from the 02 Jan 2010 (the date i last came into the country)?

In your topic title, with “non-B” do you mean:

a. non-immigrant visa category “B”, obtained from a Thai consulate, or

b. one-year extension of stay for the reason of employment, obtained from you local immigration office?

The answer to above may explain the date stamp on the arrival card and will determine if you do need to make a report of staying longer than 90 days. You see, if it is the answer a, then you don't have to make a report because you aren't allowed to stay a maximum of 90 days only, if it is b, then you have to make a report if you stay longer than 90 days.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

If you have to report (see above post), it would be 90 days from when you entered the country. They would not normally put that date in your passport. They would leave it up to you to figure out when it's been 90 days.

As said you report 90 days from entry stamp date - that is day one of the 90 day period. The stamp on your arrival card is your permitted to stay until date and has nothing to do with 90 day reports.

Upon leaving Thailand you should have binned your old 90 day report form. Upon returning count the day you landed as 1, then count to 90 days using a calender, that is your next reporting day, remember you can report 7 days before or 7 days after in some areas.
