Is Thai Embassy In Vientiane Open On Monday?

I realize Monday is a Buddhist holiday, but none of the several Thai Embassy/Consulate websites I've visited indicate that they're closed on Monday.

Yes, it's closed on Monday.

Thanks for the heads up, MTH and Lite Beer. I'll have to make a quick adjustment to my travel plans. I don't understand why these embassy websites bother to put up a holiday calendar when it's inaccurate.

If you look at the calendar it's actually listed as a holiday on March 1st, Substitution for Makha Bucha Day.

Additionally the following Monday, as Lite Beer mentioned, is closed for Women's Day.

However all the holiday listings below the calendar are from last year, so that makes it a bit confusing…

Does this also mean banks will be closed this Monday the 1st March?

Main branches will be closed for sure, but those in shopping centres may remain open.
