OK.

Now I've had my morning coffee, I'm in a much better mood, so I decide to start a thread about what's right on Samui. Let's concentrate on the good stuff, that's why we're here....

1.) The weather. The weather here rocks. It's hot, it rarely rains outside of the rainy season. I love it. Waking up to beautiful blue skies and sunshine, that is amazing. We're lucky to be here and enjoy this. Try living in Europe and see how grey it is...

2.) The scenary. The scenary is outstanding. Samui is a beautiful place, the palm trees, the greenary, the beautiful colour of the sea. Take a drive around the island and look at it. This is God's work at it's best.

3.) The food. Thai food rocks, period. And it's cheap. How much back home in the USA/UK would you pay to have a meal like that.

4.) The Thai People. 90% of the Thai people I know are lovely, generous, decent people. The Thai Smile. The "sanook" way of life.

Remember guys it's what you look for in a place that you see. You concentrate on the bad and.... Maybe all the moaners/whingers on this forum should write a list of the good things and pin it on their bedroom wall so they can remind themselves each day... My take on Samui is that if you don't like it, vote with your feet...

Is it impossible to live somewhere then without acknowledging there is good & bad? Do we all have to sit like trained monkeys following the party line, nodding our heads & agreeing that everything is just perfect & letting those who dont' like criticism, that no no no, no one is forcing us to say that, we really really believe it, ok I said what you wanted , can you take your gun away from my head now.? I have never lived anywhere perfect & I am quite able to see the god & bad. Vote with your feet? Oh dear.

If you are unable to read this forum without being rude & making blanket statements about posters here, who are not "all whingers" then it is better you read the forum rules that you agreed to when joining this morning & remembering them when posting.
