Tourist Visa, Ticket Home

Featured Replies

Im wondering if I apply for tourist visa and my ticket back home is only a month after the application am I going to denied the visa because I could just re enter Thailand on visa on arrival. Reason im asking is because im about to go to singapore and apply for visa and my ticket back home is in a month, reason I want tourist visa is because Im going to change the date on my ticket and right now im not sure what date it will be.

So my question really is if I should change ticket back home now to not risk beeing denied?

Thanks!

I just got a tourist visa in Singapore and they definitely want to see an outbound ticket with actual departure date.

No they would not deny a tourist visa for such a reason. If asked just tell them you may extend your stay.

Thanks for that info, and what about this 1000 dollars that i should show that i have? Can I just print my internet bank statement and show them my account and how much I have there, would that work?

Thanks for helping me as Im totaly lost when it comes to visas.

You should have the cash to show for visa issue but what they accept will be up to the Consulate involved. Believe a tourist visa for one person would be 10k baht equivalent.

This is what it says on embassy page for tourist visas:

Required documents are:

1. One completed and signed visa application form

2. One recent passport-sized photograph (3.5 x 4.5cm)

3. Passport (valid for no less than 6 months)

4. Airline ticket or confirmation slip with flight number and date of entry/exit

5. Evidence of adequate finance ($1000 per person and $2000 per family)

6. Visa of a third country in a passport or travel document

So What you mean is i would need to have 10k baht in cash as this is probebly singapore dollars and not US dollars? In that case its not a big hassle as opose to going arround with 1k US dollars in cash wich i belive is arround 35k baht.

Thanks for helping.

10.000 THAI BAHT its about 310$ US

Yes i know 10k baht is about 300 US dollars. But as you can see under number 5 they want 1k or 2k dollars to be shown, Since the guy who replied earlier that its arround 10k baht i assumed it Singapore dollars they were talking about on the embassy homepage, but even that doesnt add up.

Im still confused as how much cash im gonna need to bring to embassy when I apply for visa. If someone could help me out with this I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks!

Not sure about the particulairs of this embassy, but at some a recent bank statement showing enough cash is enough. Eevne an ATM slip with your saldo could be enough. They just want to see some evidence.

I just came back from Singapore.

Got my 2 month tourist visa.

Had to show outbound ticket (leaving Thailand) - air ticket MUST BE DATED WITHIN 60 days of visa application.

I did not show 10k, 20k (had them in cash but she did not ask for it)

I had multiple tourist visas before, and she said that this will be the last time she will issue me a tourist visa in that embassy. I suppose I can try KL next time?
