Nai Harn Classic Bike Meet?

Featured Replies

Not being funny mate, but language is a very useful thing if used properly.

KarenBravo said, that her mechanic said, that there was a classic bike show. She then said that they are supposedly coming from all over Thailand. She then closed by asking Anyone heard more about this.

It was never said in this thread that it was definately a classic bike show. It was just a second hand rumour, needing to be confirmed. You jumped the gun, went to the show, and were dissapointed. To then blame the show for miss advertising or cheating you in some way is a bit sad. The show was exactly what it was supposed to be, you just didn't take the time to do your own investigation, as to what the show was all about, and what was going to be there before you went.

As for the beer, I got mine on the second night. They weren't being offered to anyone. You had to swap your entrance ticket for another ticket, then go to the beer tent. If you'd had a few, maybe you could have salvaged a decent night out. Either way, I'm afraid it was your fault you got the wrong idea and nobody elses.

i had quite afew.

I posted some photos of the night we were there - that's what i saw. As a 'bike show' i can't think of a worse display i've been to, actually there was no display as it wasn't a bike show - it was a 'bike event'.

I have no criticism of the event - disappointed that so few turned up - but the music and food were excellent, music was OK. Location and security - well who could complain? Maybe next year more people will support it, more people, more bikes - this was a first attempt and thanks to whoever it was that tried to make a go of it.

Just a note: ww went to the Phuket Old Town festival about 3 weeks ago, there were displays there of classic Vespas - maybe 12, also a group of older restored Hondas. Pity these owners/people didn't come along. I wonder if the obvious chopper/Harley focus (from the poster) of the event put them off?
