rak sa_ngop
Well I know for sure there was a grenade thrown at one of Bankok Banks' branches on Silom Road (opp side of road near Holiday Inn) last week, but was there another one thrown outside BB's 'head office', or is this just another case of sloppy reporting? webfact
One bombing suspect arrested BANGKOK (NNT) -- One bombing suspect involved with the Bangkok Bank grenade attacks has been arrested, according to Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajviva. After finishing his weekly TV program “Confidence in Thailand with Prime Minister Abhisit”, the prime minister stated that the police were interrogating the arrested suspect, who was the motorcycle rider of the instigated bomb incidents last week. M67 grenades were thrown into four branches of Bangkok Bank. Two of them exploded while one was defused and the other one was found to be dud. In addition, another fake bomb was found at Thanachart Bank. There have been no reports of deaths or injuries Regarding the recent arrests of Mr Pornwat Thongsomboon, alias "K-Thong”, and pro-Thaksin army specialist Major General Khattiya Sawasdipol, also known as Seh Daeng, Prime Minister Abhisit believed that the matter would not cause violence incitement during the upcoming mass rally of the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) on 14 March 2010. -- NNT 2010-03-07 [newsfooter][/newsfooter]

webfact
UPDATE Two Bangkok Bank bombing suspects confess to police BANGKOK (TNA) -- Two suspects in the Bangkok Bank grenade attack confessed to the Thai authorities Sunday, admitting their link to a member of the Red Shirt United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) protest movement. Ekkachai Moolket and Sawai Yangsanteer, the former a nephew of the latter, confessed to police that they were involved in the grenade attack at the Bangkok Bank Silom branch last weekend. Mr Ekkachai said that he was told by his uncle, Mr Sawai, to pick up a man at Silom Soi 3 but said he did not know that the man would carry out the grenade attack and that he did not know him personally. After the attack, he said, he dropped the 'bomber' near Bangkok Christian College and was shocked when he later realised that man was the grenade thrower. Meanwhile, Sawai said the grenade thrower was a UDD member he met at a protest. The man called Mr Sawai to find a motorcycle driver for him but did not pay to hire Mr Ekkachai. Mr Ekkachai was charged with illegal possession of weapons and involvement in the attack while Mr Sawai was charged with hiring or inciting others to carrying out the attack. A Thai court earlier issued a warrant for the arrest of a man suspected of having thrown a bomb at Bangkok Bank’s Silom Road branch. The suspect's picture was sketched from closed-circuit television installed at the bank and from evidence given by eyewitnesses. He is still at large. Bangkok Bank’s Silom Road branch was one of four bank branches targeted for bombing on Saturday. No casualties were reported in the incidents; two grenades exploded, one was defused, and one appeared to have been a dud.
