Foreign Currency Account Charges

Featured Replies

Thinking about opening a Foreign currency account in sterling with Bangkok bank

Anybody know what the charge is for withdrawing in baht ie taking say £1000 and transferring into thai baht account

No withdrawal charge if you are converting from a foreign currency to THB.

Charges apply with all banks in Thailand if you want to transfer the funds out into the currency of the account.

For example, if you want to transfer 5,000 GBP from a foreign currency account with Bangkok Bank in Thailand to a bank in the UK, there is a charge to compensate for the lack of FX revenue. This is standard, not just Bangkok Bank.

Good luck.
