djidji
hi guys...can u give me a hint how to work out my problem. I am 56 y...planning to go to Thailand mid July for a long stay-more then one year. I dont have an income statement ..but I can put the required 850.000 bath on the bank once I opened an account . My plan is to ask in Belgium for a nonimmigrant visum o for 3 months stay ....once I arrive I open a bankaccount and put the money in....the problem is now that when I go on the end of the 3 months to immigration and apply for retirement visa the money is missing a few days less then the 3 months required....is there a tolerance from the side of immigration or what do I have to do ?? Thanks in advance..
Mario2008
Don't worry. For the first extension based on retirement you only have to have the money in an account in Thailand for 2 months. The next extensions will require 3 months indeed. The requirement is 800,000 THB.
