neil1000
Hi, Need some experienced advice. I have a Cat-B Visa (an extension) for a year in my passport from Immigration and a work permit from the Labour Department to legally work for my employer; a language school. Both the visa and the work permit were both obtained using documents from that language school. If I want to 'legally' work elsewhere in the same province and gain a second teaching job, what would the deal be with the visa and work permit? Can I just go to the Labour Office and submit the paperwork from my second employer and ask them to add that to the current work permit? Would I need to tell immigration? Mario2008
You will need written permission from your first employer to add the second employer to the work permit. You will not need to tell immigration.
zaphodbeeblebrox
Sometimes Labor will ask that your original employer appear with you at the Labor Department in order to have a second employer added to your WP. I think the advice above is correct, that only written consent is required, but you know how some provincial government officers believe they are lords of a fiefdom. TerryLH
The second employer will need all the same paperwork it took to get the WP in the first place.
