A Tower And Flat Monitor In A Trunk Slightly Oversize...flying Into Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

What do you think the chances are of getting through customs with this box? 22x36x13 inches. It's a travel trunk. Non O visa. Not much in it outside of the computer. You just can't get much for them....I could sell it, but I would like it there. It's about the only thing out of a houseful that I really want to take. Thanks for the thoughts.

I'm going to move this to General as it's not strictly about visas.

Personally I wouldn't bring the tower, strip out the boards and drives and bring them, cases and PSUs are cheap and readily available here.

I've brought monitors and components through customs on several occasions with no issues.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

If you bring that the whole tower itself.. they might make you pay custom fees they get picky.

I would just bring the parts and no tower. Or just sell all wherever you are and buy one here. Less things to lug around and less worry something will break.

Thai Customs are pretty stringent on the importation of electronics, you will likely have a problem I reckon.

I took my dog from Europe with me too and put his huge travel-cage ontop of the box with my tower. The custom never even looked/saw the tower-box when passing through.
