Greetings all. I have a termite problem that needs to be treated. any recommendations on a company that can come and treat it ? I'm in Nathon / Lippa Noi area. I'm going to get Rentokill to come quote but imagine they are the most expensive ? Any pointers greatly appreciated. Cheers

Are the termites on you personally or is it a property thing? If it's on you personally i suggest a bottle of dettol and a wire brush!!

Rentokil is a world-wide company and has a good reputation and it's far better to have a guarantee and peace of mind.

They will do a professional job, certainly better than your local Somchai with a spray tank on his back filled with soapy water.

I always believe the quality lives on long after the price is forgotten.

That goes for many things.

In the meantime don't scratch.

there is a forang company which i would have used but i am already under contract with another. they have a good reputation. i might have there number somewhere. i have got it but not 100 per cent sure so i will PM it incase i give out a m8's umber accidently

by the way termites are very serious. they can brake a house. i am glad i got the contract saved me millions litturly

forget the local guys, Thai or foreign. I have had enormous experience with this serious problem. I use a Bkk based company and I expect they do not service your area, so stick with Rentokill. Be prepared, it will cost approx 60,000 - 80,000, and this is the ONLY method that will eradicate this vermin. good luck

You don't even live here & you are criticising local guys? Am I missing something? Well let me tell you, I use a local firm, Foreign/Thai & am more then happy with result.

As for price, depends on severity of problem.

what island do u live on. i pay under 20 k per year and if they miss an oppointment then they give the next 1 free. i had a trminte problem befreo now it has gone. they saved my house. they use non dangerous chemicals aswell. if uwere charged 60 to 80 k then u were done up by some cow boy unfortuantly

I fully agree with you but as it isn't my money I will be spending I like to at least give the guy some options price wise.

80k sounds a lot but this is a big house and the underside needs to be done as well. I have Rentokill coming to quote and will try the man Big C uses. Cheers

I have been through this before, as other poster's have implied, there is no short cut to deal with termites, believe me I have tried and failed. For a proper job expect a quote in the 60-80K range with some form of guarantee. The other sub 10K outfits will not work regardless of what they say and claim.

sorry but believe me i had termite problems 6 months ago because i forgot to extend my contract. now they are gone. i pay under 20 k. i have allot of wood. a blinde man could notice the diffence
