Just Spotted this small hole on my front lawn ..

What do you think has made it .. ?

1. a mouse

2. a lizard

3. a spider

4. a snake

5. a mole

6. a frog

7. a some thing else

I have no idea , but I am keeping an eye out for the little bugger what ever it is

It looks to me like a tarantula home. If the hole is fairly circular as far down as you can see and appears to go fairly deep before gradually turning, it is even more likely a tarantula. Check it tonight with a flashlight/lantern. If it is a tarantula, it will most likely be very visible at the top of the hole, waiting for dinner, but will retreat just out of sight when you shine the light on her. It will be there for months if you leave it alone. It will devour lots of pesky insects in that time and it will never bother you. If you want to get a good look at it, slide a long reed or blade of grass down there. She will attack it and hold onto it long enough for you to drag her to the opening for a look. She will let go of it and retreat before she lets you drag her completely out of the hole.

If you want to get rid of her without harming her, push a water hose into the hole and turn it on, but not too fast. Push the hose in as deep as you can but do it gently so that you don't crush her at the bottom of the hole. The hose should go down about 16 to 18 inches, if she has completed construction. If she hasn't completed construction, the hole won't be that deep yet. Since the dirt is still visible at the top of the hole, it is likely she isn't finished building yet. After the hole fills and water is coming up, she'll pop out with the water and you can put her in a container and deliver her to more receptive quarters. It might take a minute or so for her to give up and pop out. If it takes much longer than that, give her a little more water pressure.

Probably a Duck-billed platypus or a Tyrannosaurus rex!

I believe it is the home of the lesser known S.E. Asian Satdung beetle as evidenced by the freshly laid egg next to the entrance.

Our house sits on 2.5 rai and behind the house are a large number of similar holes. I walk around that wooded area and enjoy watching the lizards. They are not real skittish and I am usually able to get quite close to them. When they do get scared, they disappear down one of the holes.

The hole could have been made by something else but my bet is that there are lizard burrows.

looks like the multitude of crab holes around my house. You don't say where you live, but thats my bet.
