Marriage Visa W/o Proof Of Income

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if this question has already been asked a lot of times, but I really had a hard time finding a definitive answer.

I am planing a visa run to get a Non-Immigrant visa based on my marriage to a Thai lady. Problem is that thanks to various unexpected problems I don't have the required 400.000 Baht in my Thai bank account, and probably won't until next year. Am I correct in the assumption that I will still be able to get a 3 month Single-Entry-Non-Immigrant O without any proof of income at an embassy in the region? And if so, is this process repeatable? Could I get multible 3 month Non-Immigrant visas back to back by doing another visa run?

I'd really appreciate any advice as to what embassies might be best suited for my needs (I was thinking Penang).

regards

KL Malaysia will issue a Multi Entry Non Imm O Visa with around 100,000 Baht in a bank account.

Immigration will issue a one off 60 day extension to visit your Wife.

Yes you can obtain single entry back to back as needed. As said above if you have 100k in bank KL will issue a multi entry which means you only have to exit/return (day trip) every 90 days for up to 15 months stay.

Thanks a lot for the info. I'll go for a Multi Entry in KL then. And if doesn't work I still have the back-to-back Single Entry option.

Take marriage certificate, singed copy of wife ID card and home register and a short note asking visa be issued. They all may not be required but best to have them if asked.

I have no idea why the above post - this is about getting a visa and the link posted is about getting married.
