Police Drop Kick

Featured Replies

I was just coming back from dinner and had to go to Onnut. There was a police roadblock. There was a lot of shouting, I looked round and this guy on a bike whizzed by the roadblock (full of police, maybe 20 of them, he was on a motorbike & no helmet), then the last line of police defence tried to karate kick him but the sneaky motorbike guy got through and got off. I had my mind on the idiot who run over a policeman.

Hopefully the biker wasn't drunk, then he would be endangering himself.

O.K. so this has nothing to do with Thailand, but it's a great motorcycle story, so I'll tell it anyway.

I was working in Saudi Arabia when the militants took over the Great Mosque in Mecca. I was in Taif then. One of the roads to the Saudi Air Force base we worked at was on a possible route to Mecca. My friend Paul P...... rode a motorcycle to work every day on that road to the base. The Saudi National Gaurd had a road block up on that road. Paul just rode through the roadblock, not stopping but waving at the guards. One of the Saudis pulled a pistol and fired it into the air as Paul went by.

Paul spun the bike around and rode back to the guard, who was still holding the pistol. Paul pulled it away from the Saudi, waved it in his face and told him if he ever fired that pistol again Paul would shove it up his a++ and pull the trigger. Then he threw the pistol out into the desert. He then got back on his bike and rode off. with the Saudi still watching Paul open mouthed in astonishment.

For the next week the Saudis had that road block up. Paul rode through it every morning to work and every evening going back home. The Saudis never stopped him, just waved at him and laughed at the "crazy American"

And that's a true story about my friend Paul P and his bike.

:D

P.S. I don't know if it's true, but Paul always claimed to be one of the original hel_l's Angels bike club back in the 1950's in California.

Thats great, Good one. I have done my time in Africa, so many stories. What I don't get is when people complain about havin to pay 15 baht to police here. Amazing!

An attempted Karate kick by a police officer has to be preferable to discharging his weapon which is not an unusual response by Thai police to someone doing a runner through a roadblock.
