Changing Wheels

Featured Replies

Has anyone changed the rear wheel on a Nuovo from a spoked wheel to an alloy, getting a little sick of punctures from bad tubes.

Also like the idea of the self repair kit for tubeless, so changing is the route I would like to go.

DO you need to change the wheel from spoked just to run tubeless tyres? I dont know what the requirements are exactly, but my bike has tubeless tyre and spoked front wheel

Are u sure there isnt a tube inside the tubless tyre?

The air leaks out the spoke holes so I believe?

Havent checked TBH. Just know it says tubeless on the side of the tyre...i also thought it strange having tubeless with spokes

There are kits to seal a spoke wheel so that you can use a tubeless tire.

However this is mostly done for a vintage look. I doubt too many would do this on a small Thai bike. :)

If you look at the valve stem, you will see if there is a tube inside or not.

I changed over to Mags solely for the appearance, no punctures yet as I've only ridden 25kms. :):D
