Motorway, Route 7

Featured Replies

I just returned to Bangkok today from Pattaya using the motorway and signs have been placed in the toll plazas that from 9 April until 19 April the motorway will be free. Dont know if this applies to other toll roads or not.

Yeap

Yes so travel on the normal road's as they will be less crowded.

Not yet good guidance fredob43.

Trat-Bagna was free around the Bangna area when I travelled from town to the airport at 2:30pm this afternoon and there was no traffic on it but plenty underneath. Seems like the Thais don't know about the gimme yet!

However the toll booth getting up onto the Chalerm-Mahanakhon Expressway at New Petchburi/Wireless Rd was not free, so maybe the central expressways are not free. Probably an anti-red deterrent as they have not hitherto been using the top shelf - too expensive for Thaksin to pay the tolls!

I'm just about to go collect my laundry in soi Nana from OnNut. The BTS is closed so maybe I'll take a drive along the Ramintra Expressway/Ratchadapisek Expressway/Chalerm now. will report in an hour or so's time - unless the reds are being cleared out of Ploenchit back along Sukhumvit in which case I'm stuffed.
