I have checked with the hospital that you cannot buy Wi-Fi card there. I am totally dependent on Internet in the room. Does anybody that lives close to the hospital at the mall know if I can just walk or dend somebody to the shopping mall 5 min. behind the hospital and buy a card for 2 weeks or a month (like Cyberpoint or ..).

What? No interenet at the RAM. You can either get a CAT CDMA USB modem, or one of the EDGE modems with a DTAC or AIS card - the latter is much slower but only 1500 baht to buy the modem vs 7000 at CAT.

They do have Wifi internet there. You have to buy card from the lobby.

I stayed in a VIP room on the 7th floor at the Ram 6 months ago and had free WiFi internet. It was painfully slow, but better than nothing.....

There IS WiFi at the computer outdide the nurse's quarter, but I was told I could not buy a card for the laptop in my room.

I will try once more - if not i go for the EDGE USB modem.
