Thanks. I will follow your advices.. I am gonna looking for a friendly consulate... where can i find it? Do you mean I have to go back to Italy? Or where? I heard about malaysia... I am not sure about it... Thanks again..

Hmmmm obviously you haven't been reading all the advices :) if you're going to apply for the Non-O based on visiting friends and relatives (as far as I know) the (only) two friendly consulates are: Perth (Australia) and Hull (England).

Add Brisbane (Australia)

I heard Brisbane will not accept Non-O based on visiting friends - however if you can proof you own a condo (property) you can get a Non-O with multi entries. Can anyone confirm this??? I have a friend on the Gold Coast and would like to go there next year for my Non-O visa instead of Perth.

I do not know about visiting friends visa, just know i have a good relation with them, financial is important if you want to live here ! they like to see the prove of that

Why you do email Mr Bill Dunn to ask him ? he is most helpful

Brisbane is not likely to issue - only Perth is know to issue for visiting friends currently.

Brisbane will issue a visa O without problem if you have means to live here ! well they done that for me the last 7 years

There policy has recently changed on non immigrant O visa issue - have you received in the last several months?

@simcity, Lopburi3 is correct, I searched the TV forum re: Brisbane consulate - apparently showing money in the Thai account doesn't do it anymore - it doesn't matter how much money is in it. Only if you're over 50 (for Retirement visa), Married to a Thai or show title of your Thai Condo (for Non-O).

Here is the thread: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Thai-Visa-Br...amp;hl=brisbane

Well, perhaps both of you are right, I did not contact them the last 8 months, Whatchamacallit you said in your post ‘Or you thai condo (for Non-O)’

I did show the proof of two substantials properties I own outright (commercial & residential) but they are not in Thailand, perhaps that did the trick, plus my statement from my Oz bank account.

I will email Bill Dunn & his wife Chamaiporn Dunn, very soon to thank them greatly for they help, regarding my O visa, they issue me the last few years very soon, I am doing a retirement visa this time!

I cannot give you a yes or a no if I was going to make it this year, I presume yes i will, I did not receive a email from Brisbane consulate stating the opposite !

Cheers to all

BTW.. That was a true story of my life, so far.. I just left out all the detail and the fact for 13 years I could have got a retirement visa, but chose not to, as I was still on the move at 56.. only then did I apply and got it! Look at me now with me now living the life in LOS. No matter what.. RED, YELLOW, PINK or BLUE THAILAND ROCKS...

Hi,

A little bit out of subject, but I always wondered how I could prove outside Thailand that I own my condo... :)

Yes I have the chanote, and Yes there is "my name" on it,

but more precisely there is "something" in Thai that sound like my name when I pronounce it, but doesn't sound at all like my name when a English speaking people read/pronounce it... So I am really not sure this could prove anything... :D

The honorary Royal Thai consulate-general in Brisbane in Oz is very good. You can get your visa while you wait providing your paper work is in order.
