I hold a UK passport and am in the fortunate position of being able to have a 40 day trip next March and would like to explore the possibility of taking my tg travelling on a thai passport to some of the following countries and would welcome any input into visa difficulties and the likely reception to be afforded to a farang/tg couple by the people of those countries:-

Singapore,Cambodia,Malaysia,Hong Kong,Vietnam and Laos.

If people think that I am likely to have a better time by satiating the tg's thirst for

foreign travel by a quick trip to Singapore and spending the rest of the time by touring los then please let me know.

Any tips on the best places to take a Khon Kaen tg would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you've noted that inspiring piece of advice there Duan.

You may get a better respsonse on visas and that in the visa section, so maybe ask a mod to move it there.

I'd say a trip to Singapore be nice, I've promised to take my gf next time I go.

I believe all those countries are quite easy for a Thai girl to travel to, but other people will advise you better.

Took my wife to Laos no problems not sure about other countries though

I'll be surprised if she likes Cambodia.

I was thinking the same thing Scamp, ask my gf if she wants to go Singapore or Cambodia and I'm betting Singapore gets the thumbs up.

My wife comes from that area and only likes the idea of Laos, because of the close connections, language,etc. and Singapore. Only likes Cambodia for the casinos, no love lost between thais and Cambodians. Malaysia out, due to muslims, Hong Kong too much like Bangkok and Vietnam communist. All her opinions not mine. Better to do just one and go around Thailand. Most thais haven't even visited places a few k's away.

1) In her dreams Singapore is N.1 (and now till the end of July there is the MEGA SALE CARNIVAL)!!!!

She should have no more problems than you in getting the Visa. They are all countries friend of Thailand.

But her BIG DREAM I BET: AUSTRALIA!!!
