Phuket brawl outside a local killed a 28 year old Italian

Simon Teneriello

ROME - It 's dead so absurd in one of Holiday's most famous and popular in the world, Phuket, Thailand. Simon Teneriello, 28, originally from Castelfidardo in the province of Ancona was involved - it seems quite randomly - between Friday and Saturday night in a dispute degenerated into a brawl and was shot in the neck with a broken bottle, a wound that has bled within a few minutes. Are still scarce and fragmentary information given to the family, the father Mirco, Adriana's mother and younger sister Greta, married with a baby a few months. To warn was a friend of Simon, contacted the Thai police. A man was arrested for the murder of the young. According to information of local media, in handcuffs would end a transsexual.

Teneriello, initial reconstruction of the tragedy, was shot in the neck with a broken bottle that he then severed the jugular. Between Transgender and fidardense would come a quarrel in the street, in Phuket, where the young man worked as a cook. All this would have happened in the district in which it was the restaurant where the boy was employed. The return of the remains of Teneriello in Italy is scheduled for Friday.

Simon "was not a fool, was a head on their shoulders" repeated Uncle Claudius went to Phuket every year and we spent several months and there was even a girlfriend. In summer he worked as a waiter in Numana, winter held the same job in Thailand. "He knew those places" the relatives insist that only tomorrow can talk to the Italian Embassy in Bangkok so far there has only been an email exchange with the Console Knights Franco for the formalities related to the repatriation of remains. "We hope it happens as soon as possibile" says his uncle Claudius, from whom the family had taken refuge. But it's unlikely to happen before Friday: among others must provide in advance to pay for international transport. The diplomatic authorities have advised the relatives to go to Phuket, because the cloud of volcanic ash from Iceland has made it difficult links with Asia.

A Castelfidardo, a center of nearly 17,000 inhabitants, no one can explain what happened. The news spread via Facebook: Friends remember him as a quiet and sunny person, lover of music and tattoos. "A good boy, that was a good will," added the uncle. The dispute, according to many news you get home, it exploded in front of the room where Simon worked and he was involved by chance, perhaps because he was leaving, accompanied by his girlfriend. Others in the family, the questions to be resolved.

The local rag we can't link here states he was going around punching random people until the ladyboy attacked back after being punched twice.

Do that anywhere in the world and you can expect trouble.

Phuket: Italian bleeds to death after brawl

...Family members say his involvement must have been purely by chance. "He was not inexperienced, and he knew the place well. Also, he was level-headed, someone whom everybody liked." Calm and chearful, fond of music, tatoos and Thailand, this is how his friends remember him...

So walking with the girlfriend and punching people random on his way home????

Please...

I agree! It's unbelievable what they print in the newspapers here to "save face" and save the tourist industry.

This poor guy is just another victim of Thai violence (and subsequent cover-up).

Anyone who's been here for any substantial period knows what violence that the "ladyboys" and other locals are capable of. Just "google" "Phuket violence" and you'll get a taste of the "Land of Smiles".

Well, the news in Italy are totally different from the thai ones....

Also the time, 5.30am seems strange for a person that work.

But i can assure you that italian newspaper are totally unreliable on news in Italy, outside Italy probably they just translate the first info they find on the net....

Again from the italian newspaper La Repubblica, the fight start at 5.30 am outside a bar in Soi Paradise. The ladyboy start harassingTeneriello, who reacts fighting back.

In the fight, the trans repeatedly hit the italian with a broken bottle, also when he was already senseless on the ground.

Useless the ride to the hospital, the italian died after 5 hours by haemorragic shock.

The ladyboy is Sathid Boonnuchit, 34 years. In front of Thai Police, the guy confirm he hits the italian just for self-defence. He ask also to be released on bail. Seems the local authority agreed to release the guy.
