My opinion of MJ is separate of my opinion of the verdict.

Even if the jurors discounted other evidence because they fixated on the mother, they are the 12 people chosen to decide the case. They decided there was reasonable doubt. A person would have to read the transcripts to judge the decision of the jurors.
