Our neighbours have moved, leaving behind their 15 month old German Shepherd. The landlord is about to re-possess the property so a home is rather urgently sought.

This German shepherd boasts basic knowledge of English and advanced attacking skills. Intolerant to cats and vehicles, he is friendly to other dogs and people. He's been left alone for over a month now and is crying out for friendship and compassion. If you wish to adopt him, please send me a PM.

Why do these scummy people bother having pets :) you mean to say that they just left the dog and didn't bother to re-home him, so who has been looking after him for the past month ?

There are at least three houses in our gated community supplying the dog with food on daily basis.

I am responsible for a daily half-hour (at least) run.

what do you mean by advanced attacking skills?

i used to train and work gsd's and brought 2 to thailand from the uk when i first came here, sadly they have both passed away

does he chase cats to fight with them?

I was just trying to inject some humour into my sad post. The shepherd barks at strangers and will do anything not to let them in. However, familiar persons are always welcome to come and say hello. As for cats, well, I'd say he gets excited when sees a cat. But it is easy to distract his attention and make go where you want him to go.

The dog does indeed understand basic English, like "sit!".

I don't know what this dog was trained for, and I have never owned a dog myself. You are absolutely welcome to come and check his skills.

Thanks, I know about Dog Rescue.

I love this quote.. I know about Dog Rescue.. now the thing is it meant to be Yeah I know all about they they REALLY do.. or just a simple yeah.. been there...done that...

I think these people who just left the dog will pay in the long haul.. but these kind folks looking out for this lovely GSD are the people who need to be friends with in our old age...

My hat is off to Basement Cat and all of the neighbors in that Moo Baan.. Great work.. Lovely post!!

I live in CM and have 75 dogs..to feed and care for daily.. I know the work involved... AND I do it all alone no one helps me.. I must do all the clean up and feeding on me own as most Thai will NOT lift a finger to care for a dog the way it should be done. This is why most if not all the dog rescues in Thailand are run buy westerners.. Great job Basement Cat... You get the 5 STAR Sterling award of the week...

:) Wow ! Who is this guy ? What a !

Why is that whenever someone tries to do something good there are always posters who cannot resist trying to score points or make irrelevant comments.

Basement cat, I really hope that you find the GSD a good home. Perhaps Nicky at Creature Comforts could point you in the right direction.

Please keep the updates coming. I'm sure that there is someone out there who can offer a home.

is he still avaiable ? did the previous owner bother to get him done with all the injections. i mean if someone was to take him on. is he reasonably healthy. had a sherped years ago. sufffered with demodex. really bad a desease that eats the skin of the dog. can never fully get ride of it only 60 %. has to be properly washed and sterlised every week. or the dog will get eaten from the inside. small bug that lives in buffalow shit layes eggs inthe dog and eats the skin.. also leaves the dog open to blood parasites.

if i get another dog i might get a thaii dog. that is used to the enviroment. my last previously passed away german sheperd was 100 per cent perfect but she was expensive. probably cheaper in the long run than my old dog that was down the vet once a week.

basically if the dog is healthy then someone might be interested

I think everybody will be happy to know that the shepherd now has a new lovely home. I am confident he has a happy life in front of him.

Thanks everyone for your interest.
