Just woundering what if this place goes ass up with all the strife that is going on and and we have to get out.

Say for my self I have to go back to Aus what about our married partners will the have to stay here or what.

Dumb Question I know but Has any body thougt of it

What do you mean by "have to get out"? Are you thinking of fleeing out of fear or being forced out by government/political decision?

The locals, our unmarried partners, lived and survived here before we arrived and will continue to do so after we leave.

as to partners and families, it would be their choice, what to do.

if you feel sometimes unsecure, you can go to penang just across the border in malaysia - easy to get a long term visa, reasonable priced. That way you might easily go back to thailand, when the tension easies
