Has anyone dealt with either to move your stuff overseas? im not talking about furniture or whatever.. Just 8-10 boxes of clothes, dvds, shoes maybe my nintendo wii so nothing very heavy.. maybe my bean bag, but probably not.

is it worth asking a moving company? or am i gonna pay less than 300-400$ with thai post?

friend moved stuff back to Australia from Samui via post office They do 20k boxes, not unreasonable prices if you use the slow mail (takes around 3 months) Best option is to visit the post office & ask them for the different options.

How about the risk of having to pay customs duties, or would that be only for new stuff?

As an aside, I just tried to check the official Thailand Post website and it still isn't working. I assume this is a long term / permanent problem as I've tried to access their website two or three times in the past three weeks or so with absolutely no luck.

With such a crappy website, I wonder how capable they'd be of shipping stuff out of the country.

Im gonna ask someone to go look

if your not in a hurry send thai post for cost effectiveness. you dont need a removalist etc for this. i have been in the forwarding industry for 30 years. this one is a simple job.
