How Much Should A Slim Usb Lg/liteon Dvdrw Cost?

Featured Replies

I am in search for an external USB DVDRW which is not too fat and heavy and doesn't cost more than 4000-4500 Baht. You guys know any? Please let me know.Thanks.I saw in the pantip price web that the external USB DVDRW of Liteon and LG cost from 3700-4500,but there's no pic and model number so I don't know how fat are they. :o

I'm not sure about exact prices for particular models, but generally an external *slim* CDRW costs around 3,500. External slim combo drives go for around 5,000. External slim DVD writers are around 7,000.

The one you saw was probably not slim, but rather a normal internal 5.25" Liteon/LG drive stuck into a USB external enclosure. In other words, they're FAT, and also require a power brick to operate. Price sounds about correct for that configuration (but remember that Pantipprice is generally expensive compared to actual Pantip shops).

A slim drive is nice looking and portable, but they're generally twice as expensive and also have limited speeds/capabilities.
