michael888
was wondering if anyone has ever experienced the denial of visa and withholding and non refund of visa fee. It states on the form tthat they dont have to refund the fee. that would REALLY suck for the $175 one year visa.

rfukata
judging by the $175 fee, the denial must have been from the US embassy Thailand. I heard its very common in terms of the rejection rate.
apetley
I think that's why it's called a 'visa application fee'. Your paying for the application process whether you succeed or not.
lopburi3
This section is about Thai visas so the fee is likely a multi entry non immigrant visa from a Thai Consulate in the US.

I was just wondering if it was commonplace or if anyone had an experience as such. Just considering options. Going to study in thailand then teach - trying to decide on the best visa to get. yes, thai consulate in US (LA), usually pretty generous actually. have acceptance letter from school but course is for 1+ month. Exactly, and as far as I am aware it is common practice for most, if not all, governments.
