Wondering what I should do in the way of Thai immigration protocol regarding the fact that my US passport is in the VN embassy and Wireless is impassable today. My date to leave Thailand is Monday meaning I will miss my flight Monday morning in order to get my passport/VN visa on Monday afternoon, hopefully, which means I will be able to leave on Tuesday AM, but will have over-stayed the Thai visa. Any suggestions or experience in this regard?

Just call the embassy and see what they can do for you.

The VN embassy is hunkered down right now, as you probably know since it is hot and heavy on Wireless at the moment. My question is regarding Thai immigration, since it will not be physically possible to collect my passport and meet my departure date due to circumstances beyond anyone's control. Are there any steps I should take re Thai immigration?

A lot of embassies have emergency numbers and are now not open for the public, but can still be reached.

The first day of overstay will not be charged when leaving by air.
