Weng : It's parents' decision to bring children to rally

Red shirt leader weng Tojirakarn condemned on Tuesday the Centre for Resolution of Emergency Situation (CRES) for presenting a video clip of a child at the clashing point in its press conference.

"Whether to bring their children with then is up to the parents to consider by themselves. It's not the resolution of the protesters to bring the children, It's the consideration of the parents to entertain and thrill the children. But we don't agree with that," he said.

The patients are running the asylum .

Consider this. You are running a demonstration camp. You know there is a likelyhood of violence. You know there is a possibility of people being harmed or killed. You see children arriving with their mother and/or grandmother. You reason "I don't agree but this is not my problem". If they get harmed it is the mothers/grandmothers fault. Let them stay.

An underlying problem here is that you have a professionally trained and well armed army on one side.

The protesters probably fall into 3 seperate categories

1) Peaceful demonstrators who are protesting in an illegal demonstration

2) Ill-armed untrained yobs causing mayhem and havoc

3) Probably a few well trained 'terrorists' who not only want to destabilize the situation but are perhaps trying to instigate violence against the 'innocent' to make the regime look brutal and create martyrs.

The army needs to handle each Group differently and with extreme caution.

Here is the most recent statement - 19th April- on Thailand on AI's website. Apparently any statements AFP has were made by this guy Zawacki on his own. Since there are no links, no way to know if he even said those things anyway.
