Hi there

About a year ago I got a double entry tourist visa from Laos, are they still available....? Also I had a friend who told me that the singles are now only 2 months, Im sure they use to be 3, is that correct....?

1. Yes two entry tourist visas are available in Vientiane.

2. Visas are valid for entry for a period of 90 days - they allow entry for a period of 30 or 60 days depending on nationality. They can be extended for 1,900 baht inside Thailand for an additional 30 days.

Nothing about visa entry has changed - you will receive 60 days on a tourist visa entry and that can be extended 30 days for 1,900 baht at an immigration office. What has changed is visa exempt entry - it remains 30 days by air but by land it is now 15 days for most people.

cool man, im guessing it can only be extended once right, on the second entry...? dont really need both times but thought id ask

If you have a two entry tourist visa both can be extended but you have to make second entry before the expiration date on the visa itself.

Hi Lopburi, sorry to pester you with questions but you seem quite knowledegable on the subject...Do you know if it's possible to have consecutive double entry toursist visa from Laos?

I'm coming to the last month (last 30 day extension) of my previous double entry toursit visa and I need to stay on longer...is it possible that the Thai consulate in Laos will grant me a second multiple entry tourist visa?

Do they apply the same thinking to this visa as they do to any other tourist visa i.e. you have to leave the country for a month (s)?

Thanks for your time!

No need to stay away from Thailand for a certain amount of time if you had a visa or visa exempt entry.

Most people have no problem getting a new double entry visa. A few seem to be denied a new double entry, but it is unclear why.
