The Buddhist Tradition : In India, China And Japan

This is the story of how Buddhism developed and spread from India to China to Japan, using parts of the main scriptures and linked essays to tell the story. Pretty fascinating, but the writing style is somewhat dry and academic. It's a pity it couldn't include Tibetan Buddhism but the author says it was beyond the scope of the book.

So is this a book review or did you forget to include a link or something?

Yeah, it's a mini-review! More info available at Amazon. It's a book that doesn't seem to be at all well-known but it's a mine of information for anyone interested in Mahayana Buddhism in China and Japan.
