deadgigi
I would like to come to Thailand for 6 months from Uk. Could anyone advice me on best, affordable vis a? Cheers DG
lopburi3
The normal would either be a two entry tourist visa and each 60 day entry extended for 30 days and one leave country/return or a three entry tourist visa with leave country/return two times. Each extension would cost 1,900 baht. If you have someone to sign responsibility for your return you may also obtain a multi entry non immigrant O visa from a small consulate that would allow three month stays with only a border crossing required after 90 days. Crossy
HI DG. You have a couple of options :- 1. double entry tourist visa 2. Multi entry non-immigrant 'O' visa on the grounds of 'visiting friends' 1. Gives you two 60 day entries which can each be extended by 30 days by visiting immigration in Thailand. After your first 60+30 days you do a visa run to activate the second entry for a further 60+30. Minimal paperwork required. 2. Slightly more expensive initially, but gives you 90 days on arrival, a visa run gives you a further 90 days, actually if you time it right you can remain in Thailand for nearly 15 months. A bit more paperwork, you need a letter of guarantee from someone that they will pay for your flight home should you run out of cash. The guarator does NOT need to be Thai or in Thailand, your parents work very nicely. Obtain either by post from the consulate in Hull, download the form from their website. Any more questions, ask away, we are here to help DC
