June 1, 201016 yr Where on the island could I buy some pure neem oil cold pressed? Our garden is infested with ticks and I'm loosing the battle ...
June 2, 201016 yr Most of the garden centres sell it, certainly the one in Maenam...next to Lazy Coconut.... (their English is quite good there) I believe, if my memory serves me correctly that it says BS2 on the small bottle... Neem, in Thai is pronounced some like Seedow... it's about 60 or 80 baht a bottle... I think two cap fulls to one liter... spray bottle... I did use it last year & it does work... If I were you, take a sample of what you are trying to control, to the shop & let them advise... Neem Oil is not a cure all for everything! Perhaps this should be moved to Gardening section? I just got this off the Farming in Thailand forum... worth a read! Info on Neem Edited June 2, 201016 yr by samuijimmy
June 2, 201016 yr Author Thanks for the info Jimmy! I've been reading a lot on the neem oil (sadao) and it's only to kill the ticks in the garden. The recipe is 5 ml neem oil, 1-2 ml insecticidal soap or other detergent and 1 liter warm water. I'm glad to hear it works, because those insects are driving me mad.
