This is what the installation looks like. Q, New Account Setup A, Email account Q, Your Name A, John Smith Q, Email Address A, [email protected] Q,Type of Server A, IMAP Q, Incoming Server Name A, www.hotmail.com Q, Incoming User Name A, [email protected] Q, Outgoing User Name A, [email protected] Q, Outgoing Server Name A, www.hotmail.com So I am making some basic mistake here but, my PC skills Are as you can see very basic, can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

davee58 Posted June 18, 2005 Share Posted June 18, 2005 (edited) As setup in outlook express, Hotmail is not an IMAP server, it is HTTP, Server URL is http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp This applies only to your hotmail accounts Good luck, hope that this helps you.
