Papers For Son To Visit Uk

Hi

My wife is currently in Thailand and I am working in the UK, we have a 2 year old son with full UK passport etc. My wife and son will shortly be joining me in the UK but before they come my wife wants to get my son a Thai passsport.

Here comes my question. The passport authorities in Thailand have told her that I need to go to the Thai embasy in London and fill out a form to say that I am the father. (My son was already registered and put on the Tabiaan Baan).

Has anyone already been in this situation ? My wife cant tell me what the form is and what documentation I need. I will only have my passport anyway. I had hoped that I copuld down load sonething ..

Anyone have any ideas ?

Both parents have to sign for the passport issue to a child so believe that is the reason. Embassy should be aware of what is required if you tell them it is so that your wife can obtain a passport for child.
