The skytrain services reached 500 million passenger trips at 07:00 a.m. on 16 June, according to Dr. Anat Arbhabhirama, the Acting President for Business Operation of Bangkok Mass Transit System Co. (BTS), which runs the Bangkok's skytrain system. Currently, the BTS's skytrain averagely provides 390,000 passenger trips a day, a 136 percent increase from 1999 when the system was firstly launched to serve Bangkok's commutors. "We see the increase as our success in the short term", Dr. Anat told journalists here today. "Our latest survey on January also found that the passengers are satisfied with our services in all areas, including service quality, safety, reliability and punctuality. June 22, 200521 yr Bravor! but BTS is one of the expensive ticket charges compare with other Asean countries and stupid MRT in Sukumwit exit station long queue when passangers using only 3 exit doors, they should be 4-5 doors because it's consider a heavy traffic station.
