Gps Receiver, Ppc, Navagation Software

Featured Replies

I want to see if I can figure out a way to take my handheld eTrex GPS receiver, with serial cable output (9 Pin D connector RS232) - somehow find a converter or converter cables to hardwire it into my XDA Mini II PPC (which uses a thing called a mini-USB interface).

Does anyone know if I can do this ?

Anyone out there know where you can pick up a 12 channel GPS receiver with bluetooth in Thailand for 5000 baht or so ? You can get a Garmin G10 system - with no software for about 8000 baht; in the states you can get it for a little over $100.

I have found GPS navigation software for the PPC at Pantip for around 900baht - the CD title was Mapsource from MapPointAsia; though Garmin uses this name for their GPS navigation software which is being developed by a different Thai company, ESRI.
