Deviant “Swingers” Party Raided by AHTD Police in Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Anti-Human Trafficking Division police actioned a raid on a lewd “swingers” party being staged at a private residence in Pattaya on Sunday. Investigations into the seedy gathering began after police were tipped off to the publicly announced internet invite posted by the host.

Pattaya, the 13th of June 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 1:00am on Sunday, Colonel Nopphawat Aranyabgkoon (Anti-Human Trafficking Division Superintendent) joined with Colonel Suchat Wongananchai (Internet Crime Team Chief Inspector) to conduct a raid on a house at the Majestic Resident Village in Banglamung. The raid had been organised after police were informed of an illegal “sex gathering” or “swingers” party being staged at the location. An open invitation had been posted on the swinger’s club society networking website.

During the raid police arrested 13 suspects – all of whom had been naked at the time of arrest – in various regions of the expansive premises. Officers confiscated 6 packets of condoms, a mobile phone and various items of restricted sexual stimulation equipment in the raid. All 13 offenders were subsequently escorted to the Pattaya Police Station for further investigations.

"illegal" means they didn't pay the "license fee"... while in the meantime they are busy arresting and booking "sex offenders" the Tuk-Tuk drivers harassing people who come hereto spend much needed money...

it quite a nut house... :)

Posession of a mobile phone and some condoms. A heinous crime indeed! Good to see the police are cracking down on the big crooks.

Take it the mobile was there because they couldnt source any Mars bars, will the mobile phone be charged as an accessory?

completely agree, annoying drug dealers, some times half a dozen of them each approaching. and all the hookers, sometiems hundreds.. don't bring ur lady friend or family to ptya... why they not move them to a more hidden road, the beach road would be a nice stroll at night. promoting propper tourism in ptya, changing image?

They should have worn red shirts - then the police would have left them alone for two months at least!

This is pathetic - raiding a private party - while all around serious crimes are left unsolved

this is a good post too! right!

and are condoms illegal now? they rather would subsidize them and make a pack (of 3) cheaper than a bottle of beer would maybe help the HIV rates go down and the thai use them and help the 30baht health plan loosing a bit less money..

What a joke, since when did the possession of condoms and ky become a criminal offence?

Let me get this right, they were all consenting adults having sexual relations indoors?

My cook also viewed this and laughed saying they we're probably raided and arrested because the BIB wasn't making and $$$$$ of these parties.

As others have said, there is certainly more serious things to be worried about in Pattaya, surely?

Amazing stuff! :)

:D Well done to the BIB for going undercover to deal with this, I am sure promotions will be on the way - and of course it is only those pesky foreigners that engage in this sort of thing :D

^They were all thais, apparently.

I wonder what they were charged with, "Possession of a deadly weapon" , "Illegal entry" , "Receiving" ?? The mind boggles.

Stunning piece of news. Meanwhile 'illegal' sex toys are on sale in full public view along sukhumvit and nobody does a thing. But have one in the privacy of your own home and ..................................................
