Cheops
Hi All, today I just went to the Social Security office to receive money for the birth of our 2nd child (did the same for our 1st child 3 years ago). Everybody who pays for Social Security (yes, also foreigners are included in this ) has the right to receive 12.000baht as support in the costs of the birth. You need to fill in a form (they have only Thai, but most people here can find someone to help them if needed I guess), make some copies of birth-certificate/wedding certificate etc and go to the Soc. Sec. office nearby your district. You will get the 12k immediately and you even get monthly childsupport which is big money (350baht per month ) Anyway, I just would like to post the link to download the form which you can fill in at home for you convenience: PDF form for Social Security Click here for a list which includes other forms to download from Soc. Sec. Edited June 18, 2010 by Cheops
FlakeyFoont
Is there a time limit to file for this? My child is now 10 months old.
