bearhunt Posted June 19, 2010 Share Posted June 19, 2010 i got a laptop imported and it was a pain in the ass.. took about 6 hours to collect, but there were hardly any charges, i was hoping it wouldnt be 20% but i believe computers are exempt.. there was some little charges for i have no idea what like 500 baht or something.. but certainly not 20% of the value. this was about 3 years ago though.. Seems best just to buy locally. Netbooks are cheap enough and if you are on a tourist visa you can get a VAT refund when you leave from airport within 60 days.
