Radio Bangkok proves success, adds voicemail for listener feedback

HONG KONG: -- Radio Bangkok, one of Asia's most popular internet radio stations, shows a record number of listeners in the first half of June. An average of 8-11,000 listeners are tuning in everyday to enjoy this english station who is broadcasting Thailand local news and a wide variety of music.

The station has recently added a 24-hrs voicemail to get feedback and requests from it's listners. The local voice mail number is 0-2207-2677 (international listners dial +66 2 2072677.) Voicemails will be played on-air on "Thailand Today", Radio Bangkok's afternoon program between 17:00 - 18:00. The talk radio program, which contains Thailand news, events, rants, raves and discussions is repeated at midnight and also the following morning at 05:00.

The station streams over the internet at 24K and 32K for modem users, and at 64K and 128K for broadband users. Both Windows Media, Real Audio and WinAmp/MP3 streaming is available at the station's website http://www.radiobangkok.net

A real-time playlist and programme schedule is also available on the web site. The station is featured on MSN Radio and RealMedia Radio.

Hong Kong-operated Radio Bangkok started its broadcasts in mid-2004.
