S'cuse my ignorance but what's a C.P.R. Course?

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.

http://www.americanh...identifier=4479

In English - it's the "Kiss of life"

In fact we tend not to do that much these days.....not for adults anyway.....oops best leave this one alone here......some of yoyu know what i mean.....

Highly recommend anyone who has never done a course such as this to attend.....might well save a life someday.

Ahh, I thought you were giving the course. :whistling:

if i was giving the coarse u would be better off dead lol. Just promoting it. forunate for some. Recommended for people with hotels. Or some kind of business on the island. Usually good for staff if someone has med training. I herd they r trying to get Pamila Anderson for the dummy if not then they can get a copy of her made in taiwan.

I thought a pre requisite for the course was the ability to read and write English ? :whistling:

Good luck with the course big C. A course well worth doing. How did you get on ?

Hope it's not getting coarse, during the course of this course and that none finds himself cursed whilst attending class at this course for being a Corse!

Just wonder if each and single dive center can now start promoting their CPR couarses on TV? Will generate a lot of traffic.

Well he didn't mention a specific dive centre, but the course of course.Sometimes with things of this type we let slide.:)

not in connection with a diving school. it is a govment run coarse though oustsiders are welcome to help fund the govment charity that the coarse is catered for. if u want pecific details then PM me.

also C.P.R has nothing to do with spelling.

simple really if u want in then let me know. i am not promoting for business reasons. i ain't making any money out of this what so ever!

I couldn't find any mention of a dive school in any of his postings either ? Just CPR course not EFR :whistling:

Though if you wish to promote your dive school Georges rates are very reasonable

I think you're thoroughly missing the point here H2dunc, first off I never mentioned EFR, although since you point this specific course out, EFR courses can include CPR, secondly, why is the OP not paying the rates that you seem to advertise, thirdly, if you were half way correctly informed about the dive industry on this island, you would know that I don't own a dive school, hence I don't have the need to promote 'my' dive school, I'm merely reacting to the CPR part.

It just seems very odd that somebody can offer courses on this forum, without having some kind of payment arrangement, so I don't see the difference why dive shops or possibly TEFL providers can't promote their courses. What the OP is offering is something any dive shop on the island can offer but I've got a hunch feeling that if they do promote it here their post will be immediately banned/canned/trashed or 1zgarz5.gif, hence I try to understand why this post is allowed to stay. For me it's a business opportunity doing exactly what the OP is offering, especially after a bit of clarification in his broken English.

It's also not very clear if the participants will have to pay for the course, if so, I don't see why I can't promote my CPR courses here. Would be exactly the same, right?hit-the-fan.gif

If someone is promoting a goverment supported course being offered to all for a voluntary donation good on them.

Not everyone can afford to pay for a cpr course or first aid training, I have run lots of cpr first aid courses and built a good business from it.

I have also completed a lot of free training sessions in areas where its obviously needed, and no one is willing to or able to pay for the training.

I would expect to pay to pay to advertise the commercial paid for courses, and would expect to be able to promote unhindered the free community courses.

Good on Big C for asking if others are interested if some get trained for free and others think about it and later book a course somewhere its all good.

A good friend of mine was only last week saved by a local following a freak accident,he had been shown CPR for free at his place of work !

I hope the event runs well and at full capacity.

Hi Rooo, sorry, it's still not clear to me, it's government run allright but is it free? Does 'funding the govnmt charity' constitutes 'for free'? The OP doesn't make it very easy to understand what actually is going on and I don't really feel the need to PM him. A clearer message from the start would avoid a lot of misunderstanding.

I'm familiar with some Thai run CPR courses on this island, where if you're lucky, you're are allowed to look at the dummy, let alone touch it. Jai kreng and such.

That was my understanding from the offset. I try to be balanced on what I allow as a community event, being local football club, fund raising bike rides, school fund raisers & the such. But then I do clamp down on people abusing that privilege

I am not always correct in my judgement, if I am wrong, please do point it out to me, to be able to rectify it. Interpretations, can be so varied, a little bit of help or questions asked from people in the know, never go astray.

Hi Rooo, thanks for the clarification of your POV, that's appreciated and I can understand it.

Maybe the OP can next time try to be a bit more clear about the whole thing. If it's charity and such, no probs with the whole thing but make it clear that it is. If this is a course that you have to pay for, I don't think it should be put up here.

Limbos, i completely agree with what u are saying.

Lets just leave it a few weeks and then post exactly the same as Big C's post. Dont mention any dive centre name.

Im currently making up an Open Water Course post. No company names mentioned :whistling:
