Visa Extension

My 1 year visa finished in May my extension finishes in August. Is it possible to do another border crossing and how many months / weeks will they stamp me for?

If you just cross the border and come back with out a visa you will get a permission to stay for 15 days, if by air you would get 30 days.

You can go to Vientiane, Laos, and apply for a double entry tourist visa there.

What kind of visa did you have and do you qualify for a 1 year extension?

Without knowing more you will probably get 15 days at the border.

OK - I have/had a Non B multiple entry - no work permit as the job fell through. I just want to wait until end of September to leave.

As Mario said you would get 15 days by land and 30 days by air.
