Changing My Avatar

I seem to be doing something wrong all of a sudden.

It seems to have worked in the past but no longer

When changing my avatar, I make sure it does not exceed the 90 x90 and size and then enter it....... it goes into my profile fine, but does not change on the posts I make..... is it me or is there something wrong within the new system
