Anyone Know Of A Thai Typing Tutorial Program?

I've now added a typing game to the http://www.thai-notes.com website. It's available at http://thai-notes.com/typing/typing_game.shtml. The 34 levels take you through very simple typing on one row of the keyboard to using the whole keyboard and typing pretty fast. (It tops out at over 90 wpm.)

As always, I'd really appreciate any feedback - either here or through the website.

There are still a few issues with it. In Opera the dropdown listbox to change levels sometimes locks up, and in Chrome there are some weird "trails" on the tone marks (though this doesn't affect the playability). And I haven't been able to test it on Internet Explorer. However, I would expect it to work.

In some of the higher levels there's a bit of vertical word overlap which I'll fix when I have time. And on slower PCs it's a bit jerky, but it will probably be playable.

It's to help with learning to type at a steady pace - no long pauses thinking about where the key for one of the less common characters is. Basically, characters advance one at a time, to a steady beat. One then tries to type the current character. There are 34 levels, and you can set your own speed.

It's really great to get the explosion sound (or its standard Thai pronunciation for basic letters ) when I hit a letter,on the contrast,no need to sound when I mis-hit a letter.as if It's a shooting game.

and I want to introduce your program to Chinese learner who is learning Thai in my forum ( www.tripstudy.me ). Can I quote your code into my website?

Quite useful and the sounds it produces turn a lot of heads: especially the vowels introduction unit!

I use it regularly to get Thai words translated into English (or vice versa). But a few days ago I clicked on the "typing in Thai" section to give it a try.

It gives you three sentences to type each time. That first effort took me a whopping 842.7 seconds. The next two times were even worse. But then I started improving. And today, the fifteenth time I did it (new sentences each time), I completed them all in 112.0 seconds. I know that's still slow compared to some of you all, but it's a huge improvement for me. And I've only just begun, so I think there's still hope!

I also like it because it uses real Thai sentences. I read them all in Thai first and try to figure out the meaning before looking at the English translation. I'm getting better at this part too.
